Some poems written by Connie, Elizabeth and Siobhan
On Palm Sunday we celebrate,
When Jesus rode through the town.
Everyone was cheering,
As they pulled the palm leaves down.
Everyone was excited,
They put their coats on the ground.
Making room for Jesus,
And making lots of sound.
The people were shouting,
And leaning on the trees.
Their voices dying away,
In the cold,whistling breeze.
Finally Jesus went,
And he was out of sight.
But still the people carried on,
To cheer all through the night.
At Easter time we celebrate,
When Jesus was pinned down,
With two other men beside him,
He wore a thistle crown.
The guards were playing chess,
And watching him with glee,
All the Romans were cheering,
For all the world to see.
But then along came Mary,
Not believing what she'd seen,
And she thought that the Romans,
Were very,very mean.
All the town were shouting,
They thought it very sad,
They all thought that the Romans,
Must be really MAD!

It's the school holidays,
And there is lots of fuss,
I run out of school,
And I dash for the bus
There is lots of shouting,
And jumping up and down,
There is lots of cheering,
And acting like a clown.
Then the bus comes,
And we all clamber on,
It stops at the Bus Stop,
And then we are gone!
I run down the pavement,
I open the door,
I take my shoes and coat off,
I lie on the floor.
Now I'm in the living room,
I switch on the TV,
I sit on the sofa,
That's the life for me!
