Wainstalls J&I is situated some 3.5 miles out of Halifax in West Yorkshire on the edge of the Pennine moors. It stands over 1000ft above sea level and has more than its fair share of weather! At present we have 144 children on roll, organised into 5 classes.

What to do when it snows!

Every adult in the school works tirelessly to enable each child to achieve their best.We are proud of the school and value the part each child has to play in making it a better place. We have lots of out of school clubs such as soccer, dance, recorders, choir, French and sewing.

We are supported by a very hard working group of governors and parents. They all help to make the school a place where we can work hard and play hard.The Friends of Wainstalls is our PTA and it has helped raise money for all sorts of things over the last few years, such as maths and English resources, equipment for classrooms and in the refurbishment of our library.
