Home School Agreement
 

The school's responsibilities are:
to create a safe, secure and pleasant environment
to provide a challenging, interesting and relevant curriculum both in school and for home
to address issues of bullying sensitively and appropriately
to treat all children fairly and with respect
to enable children to realise their full potential
to develop and maintain links with parents and the wider community so that all children can see that the key adults in their lives share a common aim
to recognise that each child is an individual and to make provision for their special needs
to develop social, moral and spiritual values
to provide regular opportunities for parents to discuss their children's progress and to provide an annual written report
to offer opportunities for children to contribute and to listen to their ideas about issues which directly affect them


The family's responsibilities are:
that parents/carers ensure that their children attend school regularly and punctually, informing the school if a child cannot attend
to recognise the impact that absence has upon a child's education and aim to minimise this by avoiding term time holidays
to show an interest in their child's work both at school and at home
to encourage independence, self-discipline and respect for others
to make children aware of appropriate behaviour in all situations
to support the staff in upholding good behaviour both in and out of school
to maintain a good relationship with the school
to support the school's aims and expectations
to support the school in the implementation of this agreement
to develop social, moral and spiritual values


The children's responsibilities are:
to be ready and prepared for school and arrive in class on time
to work to the best of their abilities and allow others to do the same
to treat everyone with respect
to listen carefully and act on the reasonable instructions of the adults in the school
to take care of property and the environment in and out of school
to cooperate with other children and adults
to keep to the school rules
to tell an adult if they are being bullied or if anyone they know is being bullied
to help with ideas for the school's development
