Aims of the School
 

1.1 To ensure equal opportunities for all.

B. These Aims will be fulfilled by:
* Reviewing and applying our Equal Opportunities policy.
* Taking a positive approach to teaching.
* Making learning purposeful to develop confidence, motivation and raise self esteem.
* Planning the learning outcomes for each child, allowing for differing levels of abilities and appropriate entitlement.
* Offering a wide variety of opportunities, including spiritual, moral, social and cultural, along with extracurricular activities.
*Planning activities that challenge and stimulate; to develop a positive attitude to learning, a desire to work with commitment, enthusiasm and enjoyment to the best of their abilities.
* Developing and implementing policies and schemes of work
* Continuing to develop links with other schools for fluent transition.
* Establishing a self servicing classroom.
* Giving responsibility.
* Giving structured choice and guiding pupils? decision making.
* Assessing and recording pupils? progress.
* Monitoring progress, setting targets and evaluating success.
* Developing good speaking and listening skills and literacy.
* Developing good numeracy and problem solving skills.
* Planning for accessibility of resources within limitations of the building.
* Monitoring, maintaining and updating resources.
* Encouraging children to learn from the world around them in order to promote their own security, happiness and success.
