If there is heavy overnight snow this could result in the school closing as it had to do last year. If we have to close for any reason please listen to Radio Leeds (92.4.FM) in the first instance or to The Pulse (102.5.FM). Last year the announcement that the school was closed was one of the first on Radio Leeds but we were unable to get through to The Pulse until quite late on. This year the information will also be on the website so please check this out. Unless otherwise stated, the school will always be open. If you do hear an announcement or see the website saying the school is closed please let as many people know about it as you can.
If heavy snow arrives during the day the school will always remain open. If you are concerned then please use your own judgement as to the safety of collecting your child early from school. If the roads are dangerous you may be putting yourself and your child at risk by coming to collect them by car.
Any child who cannot be collected will be cared for at school until someone arrives so there should be no need to panic about being late.
Also, could I remind parents to make sure that children have a change of footwear for when the weather gets bad. Thanks.
